I'm addicted to socks (product review)

So, I couldn't get Danner boots so I got Danner socks instead. I also got 5.11 Tac Gear Level 1 socks, Nike Dri-Fits, and some UA Socks. How do those feel inside my toasty little boots? Pretty ok.

They all keep the feet somewhat dry with the UAs coming on top and the Nike Dri-Fit Youth Soccer socks trailing behind the pack. I thought the 5.11 would be hotter than they were because they're very cushy, too cushy for my taste. Although, the UAs might not be as cushy for other people's taste.

So, sometimes I forget to bring an extra pair of socks. Why bother? Well, I workout in those socks (and in my boots) then have to shower and put those socks back on (ewwww). Yip, lots of sweat nicely contained in my boots. Knowing I'm a clutz, it helps to have socks that also dry out quickly so I don't put on damp socks again. Most of the socks weren't dry after my lovely combat showers (not that it is enough time for much else to dry). HOWEVER, my UA Two-A-Day Crew length socks rocked the test and were pretty damn dry each time after a shower. You're probably thinking that it's gross I've tested this out so many times because it means I've forgotten extra socks that many times. Well, you'd be right. But now that I have socks that are forgiving of my absent mindedness, I don't care either. They only problem - I can no longer find these socks in crew lengths, just in ankle length.

I recently bought a pair of the UA Women's All Season socks. The first run through they were great, but I'm not sure I got sweaty enough. I'll need more repeat performances to give them a thumbs up.

In the meantime, this dirty girl says save your money. UA socks were actually a pretty good deal. The Danners were the most expensive of the socks ($14), the Nike's I got on sale ($8), the UA's I also got on sale at the UA outlet. I like my expensive, but well designed socks. In this case, price doesn't match performance.
